This morning God spoke something in my heart that was so powerful yet so simple. The words were, ” Don’t trust what you see but trust what you know”. I know that there are times when our situations and circumstances don’t line up with what we know to be true for us. I may have read a promise in the Bible that said ” Great shall be our children’s peace” (Isaiah 54:17), but my child is behaving like something other than a child of God. I am sure that many of you currently have or have had similar things come up from time to time which challenge your belief or faith. Anyone that lives on this earth will have challenges arise that contradict what you desire in your life. This can be very frustrating if you allow it to.
As a born again believer in Christ, I believe what the word of God says about any situation I face. This doesn’t always make it easy to stand on what I know to be true, but it always provides hope knowing that the situation can change in my favor.
In any situation you find yourself in , take time to get rooted in faith in God’s word. When you know the truth about what He says about that problem or situation and take a stand, you will overcome.
Remember to always trust the truth of God’s word, and not what you see as fact. Facts change but the Word of God stays the same!
“Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and moral rectitude and right standing with God. And having shod your feet in preparation to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news of the Gospel of peace. Lift up over all the covering shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.”
Love and Blessings!
