Many of us have often started something and began to work on something else at the same time without completing what we’ve already started. This creates a lot of frustration and stress. Sometimes we start things that are exciting to us in the beginning, but as time passes we lose our enthusiasm. Why does this happen? This can be attributed to many things. One thing I have observed in my life as well as others, is this issue of “broken focus”. It can come in the form of distractions which can cause you to shift your focus to other things. Spreading your focus on too many things at once is a common distraction. We casually call this “spreading ourselves too thin.” Distractions will always come, but you must recognize them for what they are and move on. The last distraction I want to mention is the habit of making EXCUSES! This has held so many people back from accomplishing their dreams and goals. We all have things that come up in our lives from time to time, but we can’t allow them to stop us from moving forward. Make a commitment to yourself that you will complete what you start and leave the excuses behind. See you at the finish line!
